A friend is someone who understands and someone you can trust.

They will listen to you both night and day without ever making a fuss.
A friend will stand by your side when you are right and sometimes when you are wrong.

They will hold you up when you are weak and provide support to make you strong.
A friend's love is unconditional and unique in every way.

And when you have problems a true friend will kneel with you and pray.
A friend will stand by your side through thick and thin.

And whenever everyone have deserted you they still will be your friend.
A friend once said to me that a friend is sent from God above and I believe this to be true.

Because God has sent a friend to me and that friend to me is YOU.

Sometimes they come, sometimes they pass
Your friends will stay if you don't betray or lie

Or leave them behind
Just put this on your mind

A friend is what you need
To succeed in this life

In this world were you can't live you can't breath
Life will be unfair but your friend will be there

To give you hope, and faith
And a path that is right to take

This will lead you to your dreams
That you never thought would come true

That is being friends forever with you.
Sometimes you forget

What your friend has done
You just stab them in the back

And leave them behind
But when it comes to them

And they don't do the same
You just turn your back

And do it again
But one sunny day

You will be alone
Then you will realize

that all you once had is gone.

This friendship I love so much
This soft heart I hold
Just waiting for your gentle touch
a dream to uncover to unfold
I love the way I feel
when I am with you
A feeling that no one can steal
cause my love will always be forever true

No matter where we are or were we go
I know where both of our hearts may be
cause we taught each other how to grow
And we showed each other how to be ourselves
And not anybody else
So remember when we both are wondering alone
Do not complain or get sad

Everyone's Happiness

Everyone's happiness... her concern.
Appreciation is the burn.
Will she ever have a turn,
At happiness for herself.

Always the turn of someone new.
Job to lift up spirits blue,
Even those without a clue,
That HER life is on a shelf.

She's done for me so many times.
All I do is send her rhymes,
Apologizing for my crimes,
Hoping she'll forgive me.

I worry about her happiness,
All the things I can't redress.
All the things I can't confess.
And hope to set her free.

She does for me and everyone,
To end the rain and bring the sun,
Making sure that life is fun,
Putting herself last.

SHE needs to get her life in line.
SHE needs to see that she is fine.
SHE needs to see my life is mine.
And she needs to do it fast

ENDURING FRIENDSHIP

THERE ONCE WAS A LITTLE GIRL I KNEW WE WERE LIKE SISTERS CLOSE AS FRIENDS COULD BE BUT SHE HAD A DARK SECRET AND THE ONLY PERSON WHO KNEW WAS ME. AFRAID TO SHOW OTHERS WHAT OUR EYES HAD SEEN AFRAID TO SHOW HER SCARS DUE TO THE CONSTANT BEATINGS.


SHE WOULD ALWAYS TELL ME THAT SHE WANTS TO RUN AWAY CRYING EVERYDAY BECAUSE OF LIVING IN FEAR AND PAIN I'D STAY AWAKE TO HELP HER ALMOST EVERY SINGLE NIGHT SEEING THE SCARS ON HER BODY BROUGHT SO MUCH TEARS TO MY EYES COULDN'T BELIEVE ANYONE COULD DO THIS TO A PERSON SO FULL OF LIFE.


I TOLD HER THAT ONE DAY SHE WOULD GET AWAY AND WE WOULD TAKE A TRIP TOGETHER AND GO AS FAR AS THE EYE CAN SEE IT BROKE MY HEART CAUSE THE NEXT DAY I HAD TO LEAVE.


DIDN'T SEE HER FOR MANY YEARS AFTER THAT THOUGH I ALWAYS WONDERED ABOUT HER AND HER WELL BEING. THEN ONE DAY THIS WOMAN COMES RUNNING TOWARDS ME AND I COULDN'T BELIEVE MY EYES IT WAS HER.


WE HUGGED EACH OTHER IT WAS SUCH A SURPRISE AND SHE HAD THE BIGGEST SMILE OF LIFE. THEN SHE SAID I REMEMBER WHAT YOU TOLD ME IT STOOD WITH ME EVERYDAY AFTER SO MANY YEARS I DID IT I FINALLY GOT AWAY.

7th grade, nerdy glasses
His smile never ends
I'm way out of his league
Yet, we're always best friends

He gets straight A's in school
He's a mathlete by heart
He's honest and he's innocent
And that's only the start

9th grade comes along
Now has contacts and braces off
He's friends with jocks now
But only I know he's soft

As I attempt to fall in love
My first relationship ends
So he's the one I call
Because that's my best friend

11th grade, he looks...good
His happiness, he still sends
There's that silly laugh
There's my best friend

Dad stopped caring
Mom's never home
So he drives me around
And assures me I'm not alone

As I cry on his shoulder
He looks into my eyes
Then, I felt something new
My brain was in ties

Scared and hidden
Run away without looking back
My heart speeding so fast
What a heart attack

12th grade comes along
So what if he's my friend
Now, I want him
He'll be mine in the end

Next day at school
I look to my left
Unable to move
AsI witnessed theft

Cuddling and kissing
Two hands connect and blend
With a blonde in my gym class
...With my best friend

7th grade, nerdy glasses
9th grade, came along
11th grade, he looked...good
12th grade went so wrong

Too bad he wasn't good enough
Unlike his smile, chances end
I guess he'll never know
I'm in love with my best friend.
